Learning To Share My Office: Quarantine and Remote Working

Recently, my husband was sent home from his job. This meant that I had to incorporate him into my office — my fully functioning, hard-spent working area, trying to get another person onto the desk. It was not super easy, as I do not share my work space easily. However, we are facing some new challenges, and we are going to meet them head on.

We are currently on quarantine, as my husband was in contact with someone at work, who has tested positive. We are isolated, working, and attempting to keep life as normal as possible.

I thought it would be fair to list out a few tips, and and hopefully help people work into their new routines. There are a lot of changes to deal with, and everyone is facing a new set of challenges.

Learning To Work From Home

For those who have been working from home for a while, there is no huge changes. However, with spouses and children coming home for extended periods of time, this is changing on a daily basis. Here are a few tips that can help!

  1. Set up a dedicated work area — whether you had one already established or not, setting up a place where distance learning or work can be done is crucial. You do not want to have this take over every aspect of your life. This may require moving some things around…
