The Captains Notebook: Daily Log During Social Distancing Day 22
It has been a very busy couple of days, which is why there have not been any daily updates from the captain. Trying to keep everything on an even keel is proving a bit more difficult. I am about to run up the pirate flag, find more island drinks, and let the village people run amok — clothing optional for younger members. I am so TIRED of laundry!
The highlight of the week so far was going out for a hearing appointment, and everyone being able to ride in the wagon were feelings of freedom. Although most of the village waited in the car, it was a successful outing, and left us all feeling a little more calm, although the number of people that were NOT at home was staggering.
Things have feeling a little crazy on the island, and the feeling of being overwhelmed are definitely hitting home. That to do list that was looming from before our move has grown a little bit, but it is slowly getting whittled down to a more manageable list, which is good. A bit more to go, but then it should be back to business as usual.
The small village people are starting to rebel a little more. Petty arguments and lack of want to do anything is really beginning to play out. The feelings of being cooped up are being felt by all. Other than the outing yesterday, we have been home and staying put.
